This is the blog of Hannah Hurey, mom to Connor and Wyatt and wife to Ryan. We live in WA state away from most immediate family. Here are MY thoughts and some family activities. Mostly trying to keep my sanity with the craziness of my house with three boys.

Mt. Saint Helens
Digital Kit - Baby Bliss by Lisa
Few other extras - Jessica Sprague and someone else I can't remember who
Our family rented a yurt down at Seaquest State Park. We left on Friday from Bellevue at 2 pm...stopped at Wal-Mart in Lacey for pillows (and amo since we were there) since I forgot ours. We finally arrived at 5:30 pm...hungry kids and all. I had to use Plan B for dinner since the people we were camping with were running behind...with kids you always have Plan B. Well....Plan B....yeah, um...can we say mold on the cheese for the tacos....and I ate it....stomach and intestines...not so happy with that choice. Our plan had been to do Windy Ridge and Spirit Lake on Saturday and then Johnston Ridge on Sunday. They got reversed in case I would end up on the cot doubled over in pain. As it was I found every bathroom around Mt. Saint Helens. Johnston Ridge was cool and even cooler was the free kids part. I never get tired of looking at the awesome power nature has. Who knows why I have this fascination, I just do.
Never fear...Imodium to the rescue. Sunday was a much better day for me and off to Windy Ridge we went. Stopping at a water fall only to find that time and the elements have changed the path and you can no longer hike right to the base of the waterfall. Spirit Lake hike was next. It was a very cool day, but hiking across the pumice plain was still hot. Connor was fascinated by the blown down trees. We took the above picture there. After our hike back up, it was a quick stop at Windy Ridge and then the LONG trek home.

An update on Connor's eye...he was a very lucky boy and his eye has healed completely with no apparent vision loss.
