How my brain and emotions work

I has been awhile since I have written anything personal on here.  But I just read this book, while it is a fiction and love story, I so related to Sarah the main character.  The author is able to put into words how my brain and emotions work with relation to interpersonal relationships.  Anyone who wishes to understand me should read this book.

Jan Non Fiction Book - The Middle Place

The Middle Place by Kelly Corrigan is part memoir of her childhood and her closeness with her dad and part her journey through cancer. It is billed as a book on how we when we grow up we are adults/parents, but part someones child and how we get over that to just be an adult.

I found this book to be a very easy and short read. Nothing too taxing, but at the same time I am not sure the book every really shows us how she made the change from the two part world of child/parent to being a real adult. I love how close she and her dad are and how they support each other through both her cancer and his. You can feel the love coming off the pages. Maybe this is more about her memories of him, since he is battling cancer for the 4th time, then it really is about her.

All in all, good read and recommended.

Books

Books, my constant companion and friend. The ones who never let me down or even care what type of mood I am in. Anyway, I just read the following (in one day):

I have to say that within the first 25 pages I was laughing out loud. I LOVE Janet Evanovich!!! She is always good for a laugh so hard you almost pee your pants. I will not read her on the airplane because people look at me strange when I laugh. If you are looking for something to read that is light, this is for you.

In this episode Stephanie Plum is trying to track down a genius scientist who stole and invention he was working on and a big bad "Unmentionable"....Diesel is back and Morelli is NOT happy since his brother got kicked out by his wife and is now living with him. Chaos as only Stephanie could bring is out in full force. Can't wait to hear your thoughts.
